The Digital SLR Camera Attachment FSA-L2, which has 3.5x zoom and 500-1,750mm (f/5.9-21) focal length, used together with the new EDG Fieldscopes enables super-telephoto shooting with Nikon D-SLR cameras. Always aiming to satisfy the photographers’ needs in terms of performance and ergonomics the Manfrotto ball heads family has been completely renewed.

With an eye on and to ergonomics, the heads and the knobs have been redesigned in order to be more ergonomic and easier to handle.

The Manfrotto ball heads range provides different solutions for different needs, with a payload range that goes from 2kg to 8kg.

The first 3 models to be launched (492, 494 and 496) will substitute the previous models, in a way that all the range will be renewed. Two codes will feature the quick release plate (494RC2 and 496RC2), and three codes will identify the heads featuring a simple plate (492, 494 and 496).

To these 3 heads another one will be following soon, the big 498, also with quick release plates versions (498RC2 / 498RC4).

The ball heads family features a completely new friction control which allows micro movements without opening/closing the head lock. The friction control is present in all models except the small 492 head.

The locking lever is also repositionable, in a way that you can place it in the most convenient position for you to handle it. This smart feature makes it easier and quicker to work with this head.

Moreover, the models featuring the quick release plate, include a further safety system that avoids the accidental detaching of the camera from the head.

Fujifilm’s unique Super CCD EXR Sensor Wins EISA “European Digital Imaging Innovation 2009-2010” Award

FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO: Shigetaka Komori) is delighted to announce that the award-winning Super CCD EXR sensor has been crowned “European Digital Imaging Innovation 2009-2010” by judges at the esteemed European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards.

EISA judges were very impressed with the level of innovation and multiple application of the new technology. Commenting about the award, the EISA jury said: “Fujifilm’s new Super CCD EXR sensor has been designed to adjust its behaviour according to the condition in which it is being used so it can deliver the user the best quality for any situation. The sensor has three different shooting modes that can be either selected manually by the user or left to the camera to automatically choose which suits the occasion. In high resolution (HR) mode the sensor uses all its pixels to render the finest details of the scene, while a high sensitivity (SN) mode it uses pixel-coupling technology to produce images with low noise levels in very low light conditions. A further high dynamic range (DR) mode combines two exposures to deal with high contrast situations.”
