The Imaging Experience Theatre is a unique place at Photokina 2008 and on the internet. It’s a physical and virtual space where some of the best actors of the imaging world will bring and tell their amazing experiences.

We managed to gather in a 6-day multi channel event some of the most awarded photographers and other imaging artists in the world to create something that must be lived and experienced totally.

From the Himalaya to the Indian Ocean, from advertising to photojournalism, from pictures to multimedia, the theatre presents a wide range of seminars and workshops that will provide a mix of emotion, information and education unique in its genre.

The programme will feature three events everyday, with a meet and greet moment with the artist just before each event. So in addition to the institutional moment of the event, the theatre offers you also the great chance to have a few words with the artists.

Futuresource Consulting predicts digital photo frames will be in 29 per cent of UK homes by 2011.

The research firm carried out a consumer survey across France, Germany, Russia and the UK to better understand consumers and digital photo frames. Research was carried out online among 3,500 respondents.

“The digital photo frame is a popular gift item and this is helping to fuel sales,” says Simon Bryant, principal consultant, Futuresource. “In 2007, the Western European DPF market exploded, reaching 3.8 million units. That’s up from just 0.6 million the year before, with Western Europe representing approximately 30 per cent of global volumes.
