Firmware Update for DMC-G1

Press Release:
Panasonic is announcing a firmware update for the DMC-G1, Ver1.1. This firmware improves usability of the AE Lock and MF Assist features. Users can now make color adjustments to the LCD and the LVF (Live View Finder) as well. Additional performance updates are also included in this new firmware.
Panasonic invites all users of DMC-G1 to apply the updated firmware. The firmware will be available worldwide on 16th of December, 2008 at http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/download/fts.
New Firmware Provides Support for DMC-LX3

Panasonic is announcing a firmware update service for the DMC-LX3, Ver1.1. This new firmware includes a compatibility update for the optional FL220 flash unit, and improves auto white balance performance under different color temperatures and lighting.
Panasonic invites all users of DMC-LX3 to apply the updated firmware. The new firmware will be available worldwide on 15th of December, 2008 at http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/.

Joint update service for Four Thirds lenses launched

Olympus, Panasonic, and Sigma have joined forces to launch an online firmware update service
Olympus Imaging Corporation, Panasonic Corporation, and Sigma Corporation have joined forces to launch an online firmware update service that will enable users to easily update the firmware in interchangeable DSLR lenses compliant with the Four Thirds System Standard, even when the camera and lens are not made by the same manufacturer. About this firmware update
This service provides software for upgrading D300 firmware to v1.10. When performing this firmware upgrade, be sure to upgrade both A and B firmware. Be aware that operation of your D300 is not guaranteed if either A or B firmware is upgraded while the other firmware is not upgraded.

EOS 50D Firmware Update Version 1.0.3

This firmware update (Version 1.0.3) incorporates the following fixes.
1) Corrects a phenomenon in which an image becomes overexposed when C.Fn.II-3 Highlight tone priority is set to “1″ together with other camera settings. (This correction has already been incorporated in the Version 1.0.2 and later firmware.
2) Corrects a rare phenomenon in which “busy” blinks on the camera’s display panel and the shutter cannot be released due to the timing of battery installation.
3) Corrects a rare phenomenon in which “Err 99″ appears on the camera’s display panel and LCD monitor and the shutter cannot be released due to the timing of pressing the shutter button.
Firmware Version 1.0.3 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.2. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.0.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Nikon D80 Firmware update:
This service provides software for upgrading D80 A and B firmware to Ver 1.11. When performing this firmware upgrade, be sure to upgrade both A and B firmware. Correct operation of your camera is not guaranteed if only A or B of the firmware is upgraded without upgrading the other part.
This firmware resolves an issue which, in rare cases, causes the battery indicator to blink whilst shooting regardless of the level of charge in the battery.
