We have been working toward releasing AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC (Model B003) for Canon on September 20 (release date in Japan) as already announced. Unfortunately, we are obliged to postpone the release of the product until October 2, due to the delay in material procurement.

To everyone who has looked for the new product and been interested in it, we wish to express our deepest apologies for the delay.

As for AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC for Nikon with built-in-motor, we release the product as schedule September 20(release date in Japan).

The concept was to develop 1/2″-format lenses in the high resolution Vari-Focal Lens series compatible with megapixel-resolution cameras. These lenses will take full advantage of the performance of high resolution cameras and offer the resolving power required for true high precision surveillance.

Tamron Co., Ltd (Mr. Morio Ono, President) has successfully renewed the existing SP AF90mm F/2.8 for Nikon and is now pleased to announce the availability of the lens with a built-in AF motor for Nikon. (The lens is already available in mounts for Canon, Pentax and Sony.)
