Press Release:
FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO: Shigetaka Komori) is delighted to announce that the award-winning Super CCD EXR sensor has been crowned âEuropean Digital Imaging Innovation 2009-2010â by judges at the esteemed European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards.
EISA judges were very impressed with the level of innovation and multiple application of the new technology. Commenting about the award, the EISA jury said: âFujifilm’s new Super CCD EXR sensor has been designed to adjust its behaviour according to the condition in which it is being used so it can deliver the user the best quality for any situation. The sensor has three different shooting modes that can be either selected manually by the user or left to the camera to automatically choose which suits the occasion. In high resolution (HR) mode the sensor uses all its pixels to render the finest details of the scene, while a high sensitivity (SN) mode it uses pixel-coupling technology to produce images with low noise levels in very low light conditions. A further high dynamic range (DR) mode combines two exposures to deal with high contrast situations.â
This highly prestigious award from EISA coincides with Fujifilm’s recent announcement of an addition to the EXR line-up. In a winning combination of style & technology, the NEW, compact FinePix F70EXR will be the world’s smallest 10x zoom digital camera
Press Release:
FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigetaka Komori; hereafter, Fujifilm) has developed a new transparent conductive film “EXCLEAR” for use in displays and touch-panels, offering a high level of transmittance, flexible performance and a wide range of sheet resistance, incorporating silver halide photographic technologies. Fujifilm has started distributing samples in a lead-up to its commercial launch scheduled for this autumn.

LAS VEGAS (PMA #F171), March 2, 2009 â Sony is spotlighting its first digital still camera to feature sweep panorama technology here at the Photo Marketing Association confab. The new HX1 Cyber-shot model can take 224-degree panorama shots in one easy press-and-sweep motion.
It is also the companyâs first Cyber-shot camera to use the exclusive 1/2.4-inch Exmor⢠CMOS sensor technology. This technology allows it to achieve burst speeds of 10 frames per second at full 9.1 megapixel resolution in continuous burst mode.
Setting it apart from most digital still cameras, which use an electronic shutter to achieve high speed, the HX1 unit has a mechanical shutter that helps reduce distortion when shooting a moving subject.
